We invite you all to a free event at the wonderful The Collectors’ Gallery of Art in Inglewood, featuring Esteban Herrara on piano, on Thursday, February 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for Artistic Director Kodi Hutchinson’s International Jazz Days Festival announcement.

The Calgary Women’s Jazz Orchestra, along with special guests Christine and Ingrid Jensen and a rhythm section comprised of Tyler Hornby (drums), Kristian Alexandrov (piano), and Aretha Tillotson (bass), will be performing at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, on January 28 in celebration of women in jazz.

The Ethan Disler Quintet is led by trumpet player Ethan Disler, and performs a vast number of genres including bebop, swing, Latin, and blues. All music is original arrangements composed by Ethan Disler and will include well-known standards to the jazz community. (more…)
