Expired JazzYYC Notice of Annual Meeting of Members

An Annual Meeting of the Members of Jazz Is Society of Alberta (the ‘Society’, or ‘JazzYYC’) will be held at Café Gravity (1221 8th Street S.W., Calgary, Alberta) on Thursday, January 26, 2023 to commence with live music at 6:30 p.m. followed by the following agenda to commence at 7:30 p.m.

Membership is required to vote at the AGM and JazzYYC will be providing some light snacks and live music.

1. Receive and review the audited financial statements of the Society for the year ended August 31, 2022.

2. Elect the following six Members to the Board of Directors of the Society:

• Deb Rasmussen (standing for re-election)
• Malcolm McKay (standing for re-election)
• Jeremy Brown (standing for re-election)
• Andrew Choules-Nisbet
• Ross Crooks
• Megan Freeman

For information purposes:

The following seven Directors have 1 more year remaining in their 2-year term:

• Cathy Ascroft
• Charles Finstad
• Esteban Herrera
• Nancy Hong
• Shannon Matthyssen
• Bamise Onifade
• Rita Richardson

3. Elect the following Directors as Officers of the Society:

• Cathy Ascroft – President
• Deb Rasmussen – Vice-President
• Malcolm McKay – Treasurer

We thank the following retiring Directors for their service in 2022:

• Greg Snider
• Ken Hanley
• Mandy Morris
• Nathaniel Miller

4. Appoint auditors of the Society for the year ended August 31, 2023.

If you wish to vote by proxy, please contact JazzYYC at the above email address by 7:30 pm (MST) on January 23, 2023 (72 hours prior to the Annual Meeting), and a proxy form will be provided to you.  Such proxy form must be returned to the above email address prior to 7:30 pm (MST) on January 25, 2023.
