JazzYYC and The Audio Room are pleased to announce our 2023 fundraiser.  The Audio Room, Calgary’s premier hi-fi audio store, is joining forces with JazzYYC to orchestrate a fundraising event dedicated to cultivating young talent in jazz, fostering a vibrant music community, and cultivating world-class jazz opportunities in Calgary.

On Saturday, October 21, 11AM to 5PM, The Audio Room will showcase jazz music in multiple formats including live jazz music and listening to jazz with top sound equipment. Learn about the best new audio equipment coming to Calgary, participate in auctions for great prizes, and experience fun sessions in a come-and-go experience throughout the day. A live Facebook feed will operate to broadcast the event to the community.

VIP Evening

People attending the VIP evening session at The Audio Room (7 to 10PM) will experience scintillating music from top Calgary jazz musicians, live auctions for fantastic prizes and great hospitality from top Calgary distillers and brewers, outstanding hors d’oeuvres and sweets. Hosted by our engaging and internationally recognized master of ceremonies, Tim Tamashiro, participants will be wowed by the music, love the stories, adore the culinary experience and delight in the experience of beautiful sound. The host trio will feature Sheldon Zandboer (keys), Jeremy Coates (bass) & Jim Johnston (drums). Special guests joining Tim will be legendary jazz saxophonist PJ. Perry & Poopeter Al Muirhead. This will be a night to remember!
