In the basement of an historic building rumoured to be haunted stands a peculiar bookcase of dusty books and a vintage telephone. Behind the bookcase is a spectacular live band who commit themselves every Tuesday to tracing the shapes and forms left to be discovered in the compositions of legendary jazz composers. And every now and then, they’ll contribute something of their own, meditating and paying homage to the spirit of jazz. This is no ordinary band, this is a band known for its dynamics, its playfulness and sense of adventure. This is the David Lavoie Quartet.
