7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Presented by: TD JazzYYC
The André Wickenheiser Sextet will not only be performing works from their last album “A Happy Little Accident”, but also new compositions written over the course of the pandemic. It will explore some of the experiences, and emotions, that many of us have had over this time. André and his band are so looking forward to sharing his new music with a live audience, and can’t wait to see you there!
André Wickenheiser’s sound is all his own. Whether it’s the sound of his trumpet, or his compositional style, it is immediately recognizable.
Calgary based trumpeter André Wickenheiser began his musical studies at Mount Royal University where he completed an Artist Diploma in jazz performance. From there, he went on to finish both a Bachelors Degree, and Masters Degree in jazz performance at McGill University in Montreal.
JazzYYC recently launched its first online 50/50 fundraiser & things are heatin’ up! Get your tickets now for a chance to win!
Funds raised by this raffle will support our many outreach and education initiatives including one of the key programs, the JazzYYC Youth Lab Band which showcases many of the best young jazz musicians in Calgary.
The sale ends on Aug. 22. The winner will receive a minimum cash prize of $2000 or 50% of ticket sales (whichever is greater) up to a maximum of $5000.
