Paying homage to some of the greatest musical artists of all time the Motown Soul Tribute Orchestra is an 11 piece ensemble that perform the hits made by Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, and many more.
Formed by Musical Director and former Ray Charles Bassist John Gray who played with The Marvelettes (Motown Artists) and some of the Original Funk Brothers, the group Features Johnny Summers on lead vocal, a solid rhythm section, a killer horn section and 2 soulful backup singers.

Johnny Summers, is a multifaceted musician as a vocalist, trumpeter, arranger & composer. He has worked and performed with a number of award winning artists including Ellis Marsalis, Tommy Banks, Patrick Stewart, the Temptations, Franki Valli and Maria Schneider. As a recording artist Johnny has toured Internationally, is the director of the Calgary Jazz Orchestra and is the recipient of 13 Global Music Awards, including best male vocalist, two Gospel Music Awards, and many others, including numerous nominations. His 7th studio album Baker’s Dozen: Celebrating Chet Baker was released on Cellar Music debuting in the US at #25 on the Jazz charts, and has won three Global Music Awards for best instrumentalist, best album and best group.
John Gray took up the acoustic bass in high school. By grade 12 he was playing in 2 symphony orchestras and started performing with jazz & blues great Clarence “Big” Miller (Duke Ellington, Count Basie) who he was to spend the next 22 years working with.
During his career he has also performed with Ray Charles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dexter Gordon, Chet Baker, K.D.
