Mike Rud is a JUNO award-winning jazz guitarist and songwriter. David Restivo is a 3-time winner of the National Jazz Awards’ Pianist of the Year Award and a JUNO-award nominee.

An in-depth demonstration of how to use the same patterns on many different chord qualities. JUNO-winning artists Mike Rud (guitar) and David Restivo (piano) will each take two pieces of 8th note solo vocabulary, and reapply them over several completely different types of chord functions. A great solo primer for musicians of all levels.
The Simone Lutzko Trio is composed of young up-and-coming session players in the city of Calgary. Featuring Simone on saxophone and vocals, the group presents a fresh and modern take on some of the most beloved jazz classics.

Our world-famous JazzWalk returns on Sunday April 30 throughout Inglewood and the Central Calgary Library featuring amazing music by local musicians in partnership with the Inglewood BIA, Calgary International Blues Festival, National Music Centre and Calgary Public Library.
